Athena again on the top. Jonass and Cairoli win the GP of the Czech Republic and still leaders of overall in both class.

Round 13: GP of Czech Republic

GP # 13 of the 2017 season took place on the traditional and scenic "Serpentine" circuit in Loket, Czech Republic. After the qualifying day with pole positions of Pauls Jonass (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) aboard the KTM 250 SXF supported by Athena and by Antonio Cairoli (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) who, with the KTM 450 SXF supported by Athena won its fifth pole of the season, Sunday's races were on a insidious track by Rain falls during the night and in the early hours of the morning. In MX2, championship leader Pauls Jonass won the GP by ranking second and first in the two motos. With points earned at Loket, Jonass has increased his lead in the overall standings, which now stands at 47 points in front of Jeremy Seewer (Team Suzuki World MX2) on board his Suzuki RMZ 250 equipped with the control unit RX1 EVO, the data acquisition system M40 and the innovative Launch Control LC-GPA, Seewer at Loket track, has achieved the second best day performance. In the MXGP, sixth overall win for Antonio Cairoli (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), who with the KTM 450 SXF supported by Athena has won its 83th GP in career. Tony made the best performance in the second moto by starting in second postion in order to immediately got the first position mantenined till the checkered flag. Due to the third place in race 1 and the first position in race 2, TC222 got the first place at overall, confirming the lead of the MXGP class and bringing its lead in the overall standings to 92 points. For Tony it was the third consecutive victory after those obtained in Italy (Ottobiano) and Portugal (Agueda). Fourth place for Jeffrey Herlings (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) also riding on a KTM 450 SXF supported by Athena while the Yamaha "duo" Febvre-Van Horebeek, both on Yamaha YZF 450 equipped with the control unit RX1 EVO, the data acquisition system M40 and the innovative Launch Control LC-GPA, respectively, concluded the GP in sixth and seventh positions.
