With the third GP in three weeks, followed by Lommel (Belgium) and Frauenfeld (Switzerland), the 16th race of the current season took place on the Glimminge Motorstadion in Uddevalla, Sweden. A weekend featured by the different weather conditions, with sun and rain in the same times, it was the last August GP, before the start of the September "rush", which will declare the champions of the two categories. In the "under 23" class, the MX2, best perfromance of the day for Swiss driver Jeremy Seewer (Team Suzuki World MX2), with his Suzuki RMZ 250 equipped with the control unit RX1 EVO, the data acquisition system M40 and the innovative Launch Control LC-GPA at Uddevalla has been twice in second position. Behind him, completed the podium, Jorge Prado (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and his teammate Pauls Jonass (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), both on the KTM 250 SXF supported by Athena. Great performance for the young Spanish Prado who, in Race 1, was able to take control of the group and lead the race all the time, from the first to the last lap. In the second round it ranked fifth. For Jonass, a "quiet" day that saw him finish the two motos in third place by controlling his opponents. In the overall standings, Jonass is always the leader of the championship with 45 points ahead of Jeremy Seewer. In the MXGPJeffrey Herlings (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) on the KTM 450 SXF, supported by Athena, proved to be back in good shape, succeeding in winning the second place in the first moto with a great come back, after an unsuccessful start. In the second race, however, when preparing to attack for the final victory, a technical problem  (chain out of the rear sprocket) forced him to retire and, in fact, excluded him from the fight for another overall success. Excellent performance by Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Yamaha Racing Team), which brought its Yamaha YZF 450 equipped with the control unit RX1 EVO, the data acquisition system M40 and the innovative Launch Control LC-GPA. The Frenchman, second in the standings of the day, won the second moto and managed to return to the podium after a long time, from the GP of Switzerland last year. For the current champion leader, Antonio Cairoli (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) aboard the KTM 450 SXF supported by Athena, was instead not a best GP. Seventh and ninth at the end of the two races, TC222 controlled the situation on a track that had several pitfalls and made the most of its potential while still succeeding in increasing its lead in the overall standings that now sees it with a 101 point lead , When they remain available 150 points before the end of the season.
